The Role:
Run and maintain the website
Conceptualise and work with the team to arrive at a consistent, cogent communication plan, and events and activity plan.
Dream up online programmes and interventions to encourage script writing and reading in community
Use the library as a playground for discovery of ideas, people and patterns
Must have a deep interest in reading plays
Ideally fluent in reading at least three Indian languages including English
Must have some understanding of the playwriting process
Must have knowledge of the sector and how it operates
Must be able to work and fulfill responsibilities unsupervised
Must care about and have ambitions for playwriting in India
Terms:
Starts immediately
Task-based work, approximately two days a week
Minimum commitment of 2 years
Starting pay between INR 15,000 and 25,000 pm with the potential for an increase after 6 months.
Remote work + planned travel

Associate Producer at Bhasha Centre
The Role:
Play a key role in propagating training and capacity building programmes in the areas of playwriting and producing
Represent Bhasha Centre at conferences, festivals and conversations
Assist and lead in communications, fund raising, operations and pedagogy
Dream of ideas that will evolve with need, that include and that build strong, equitable relationships
Must have at least two years of experience working in corporate environments of 4 or more people, even if in the Arts sector
Must enjoy critical thinking and conversation
Must be well versed in conceptualising, presenting and pursuing big ideas
Must enjoy research and be capable of in-depth, cross-disciplinary analysis
Must enjoy collaborative processes
Must view creativity as an essential tool and not as a goal
Must love, but not worship, the arts, their systems, people and institutions
Must be comfortable with accountability in a flat organisation
Terms:
Starts January 1st, 2027
Minimum 2-year commitment
3 days a week + travel for projects/events
Starting pay between INR 35,000 and 50,000 pm with the potential for an increase after 6 months.
