thedramalibrary.com (TDL) is India's first digital repository of unpublished plays. Conceived and run by Bhasha Centre, it is dedicated to making plays and dramatic literature more accessible to artists, educators, students, and audiences. Through a growing collection of scripts, and workshops, readings, festivals, and other engagements, TDL celebrates plays, playwrights and playwriting.

In the spirit of including more people than we know - a hallmark of our work at Bhasha Centre - we invite ideas for a logo or mascot as we enter our fifth year.

 

The selected entry will receive:

- a cash prize of Rs. 25,000
- official adoption of the logo as The Drama Library's visual identity
- recognition across bhashacentre.com and /bhashacentre
- A blog article on bhashacentre.com, explaining the rationale and process of arriving at the logo, along with a peek into the designer's past work and aspirations
 

Your design may draw inspiration from one or more of the following ideas:
- Stories, imagination, and dialogue
- Libraries, archives as spaces for discovery

- Reading, writing as habits
- Performance, collaboration, and creativity
- Accessibility and community in the digital age
We encourage original, conceptual interpretations rather than literal representations.

Design Requirements
The submitted logo should:
- Be entirely original and created solely by the participant.
- Not use copyrighted, stock, or previously published artwork.
- Be simple, memorable, and visually impactful.
- Work effectively in both colour and monochrome.
- Be scalable for use across digital and print formats.
If you are using AI, please do so ethically and imaginitively, describing the prompts and iterations in plausible detail.

- Anyone passionate about design and the performing arts
